I have a Dell Inspiron 9300, it was running real slow, slow to boot, slow to open applications. I did a full factory restore to maybe get rid of all spyware and corrupted files. The problem is it is still running slow even with the restore, I dont have any files installed and very few software applications running. Please help

If it's booting up much slower than it used to, it sounds like it's probably a hardware problem.

sounds like your mobo is starting to go. I would think fan but if your booting slow your cpu hasnt even began to heat up to cause this. Dells are disposable. I would look into getting another one before attempting to fix it.

Thanks for the responses, I suppose I should have mentioned thatthe fan is constantly running from the time it boots to the time I turn it off.
Never quiet like it used to be.

What I find most of the time when a computer is running slow it is because there is a bunch of programs running at startup. First try going to start, run and type msconfig. Then click on the startup tab and hit the disable all button on the bottom. When it restarts it should be running without all the programs running in the background. You can alway go back in and recheck them if you want certain programs running.
